Good morning, here is today’s dose of inspiration for the week!
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace in time of need. Hebrews 4:11
My sister had asked to borrow my SUV while her vehicle was in the shop for repairs. I asked her how long would she need it and that I wouldn’t recommend driving it for long distances, it’s an older vehicle. She said “if you don’t want me to drive it just say so!” I said to her you can borrow it but you need to know it’s condition, it needs some work.
How often do we go through life not acknowledging the state of our condition? The condition of my life, the condition of my heart, the condition of my circumstances, the condition of society. When my vehicle is in the shop for repairs, the mechanic may run a diagnostic test and remove a few parts before he can actually see what the issue is. Taking a deep look and reflection into our lives can reveal a lot. It may require taking some things apart to get to the root of what’s really going on.
The good news is we have a master mechanic who know’s and can identify with our conditions. Jesus being our High Priest sits on the throne waiting for us to come to Him, where his great grace and love is abundant to meet our need.
We may feel unworthy to ask of Him anything that plagues us, but His word says otherwise-Go boldly to the throne of grace! Freedom comes when we are able to be honest and truthful about where we are today and where we’d like to be in the future.
Prayer: Dear Lord, thank you for your grace towards me. Thank you that I can come to you and lay all of my stuff at the foot of your throne and I can find grace, peace and love waiting for me there. I want to be free of the things that hold me back from the greater things you have in store for me. Dear Lord, be my guide….In Jesus Name~Amen!
Have a blessed week.
