Oh send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me; Let them bring me to Your holy hill and to your tabernacle. Psalm 43:3
One summer a friend and I had decided to take a drive through the Columbia River Gorge. He wanted to find a fishing hole, I wanted to see the scenery, so we took a couple of fishing rods and with the GPS guiding us, we headed on our way. It was a nice day, the sun was shining and not too hot out, our ride was pleasant and smooth as we headed up the highway. We exited in Hood River taking a road that lead us to a campground, the view was beautiful. The GPS system lead us through the campground to a landing with a hiking trail and then to a road that was full of rocks. Continually being re-routed by the GPS system we couldn’t find the “fishing spot!” We decided to go back to the landing. Once we reached there we discovered that I had a flat tire and it needed to be repaired!
Life will take us on a journey, the road can be smooth the sun shining bright and the view is beautiful. But life happens, and we encounter situations that places us on a rocky road, or we’ve taken an exit that leads to another destination causing us to need repairing. God wants to repair those places in our lives that have become flat and broken or get us back on a road that we’ve exited prematurely. He is a master at “re-routing” and bringing us through hard places and resurrecting hopes and dreams. Go to the altar of God and poor out your heart to him!
Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy and on the harp I will praise You O God, my God. Psalm 43:4
Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank you that I can come to you and speak what’s on my heart. I have been on a rocky road, I have issues pressing and need you to re-route the situations in my life. Guide me and lead me to the places I need to go, reveal to me the areas that need attention and care. Give me a clear view and insight I need your guidance. In Jesus Name!
Have a blessed week!
