Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23

It’s the end of another year.  2018 proved to be quite the year for many. Some experienced tumultuous events while others saw the fruition of long awaited, plans and dreams spring to life. This past year may have even pulled strained and stretched a lot of us to our limits causing one to stop and pause and ask God “what’s going on?”  When there is much going on around me, at times I stop and ask myself two questions “Lord, what have I been praying for and what did you promise?”

When God gave the promise to Abraham that he would be the father of many nations, He didn’t give him a play by play notebook and a time schedule on how this would come to be. Abraham and Sarah experienced many trials along their life journey even to the point of taking matters into their own hands to produce the promised heir.  But God did not relinquish His promise.

As we move into this new year, I feel that the Lord does not want us going into this year making another resolution! But instead, being real and honest with ourselves taking time to reflect, refocus and remember what God the Father has promised and spoken over our lives.  The promise is not afar off! He who promised is faithful. Faithfulness requires that we listen intently on what God’s Holy Spirit is saying. He has a journey specifically carved out for you and it will not look like anyone else’s journey. God ordains and works within various seasons of our lives to bring us to fulfilling our call and purpose. If we’re not intentional in spending time with Him, we’ll miss the opportunities and open doors that He has set before us.

Happy New Season!

Have a blessed week.
