And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.  Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him.  Matthew 4:18-20

Jesus is calling! Jesus is calling us to move away from areas of comfort and familiarity into the destiny He has purposed for our lives. Many of us have held on to old ways and old mind sets and have settled for the ordinary.  When Jesus called Simon Peter and his brother Andrew and many of the other disciples, I’m sure they didn’t know how much they would be impacted by following Jesus. They left behind what was comfortable not knowing that their lives would be forever changed, and they will forever change lives. I feel that the Lord is saying that many of us have put on hold the dreams that He has deposited in our hearts.  Many have visions and aspirations and left them on the side of the road like an abandoned car that has died.  It’s time to get out the jumper cables and recharge those dreams.  Jesus is calling us to listen to His voice and heed the call.  There’s much work to do for His Kingdom!

Have a blessed week.
